Join Art21 for «The Artist as Researcher,» a special public program featuring artist Fred Wilson and art historian Andrianna Campbell in conversation.
Following a presentation by Wilson about his upcoming exhibition, «Afro Kismet,» at Pace Gallery and his 2017 exhibition «Wildfire Test Pit» at Oberlin College, the artist will be joined by art historian Andrianna Campbell to discuss the complex histories of origin, migration, and race that Wilson's work addresses, as well as the research processes that guide both of their practices.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Program begins at 6:30 p.m.
Admission is free, but advance registration is required.
Fred Wilson was featured in Art21's award-winning series, «Art in the Twenty-First Century,» in 2005, as well as in the digital series, «Extended Play» in 2014.
This event is generously hosted by New York University's Department of Art and Art Professions.
