Attend the NYS Senate Climate Hearings to stand with fellow Long Islanders with shirts, signs, and banners to show your support for the Climate and Community Protection Act (CCPA):
KEY HOURS TO ATTEND: 10AM-12PM FOR PRESS
The Climate and Community Protection Act (CCPA), which has passed the Assembly for the past three years, would eliminate all of New York’s greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 while protecting workers and mandating investments in the communities hardest hit by climate change.

This bill has come out of a deeply intentional process working with environmental justice communities, labor unions, and community organizations across the state in partnership with policy experts, scientists, and elected officials. The CCPA has been lauded as one of the most ambitious and equitable pieces of climate legislation in the country and has already been used to model federal legislation.
NY Renews is an unprecedented statewide coalition of over 160 organizations fighting for climate policies grounded in equity and justice for communities and working people and has been championing the CCPA for the past three years. We are community-based organizations, environmental justice groups, labor unions, and other advocates working together to ensure New York achieves ambitious and far-reaching climate solutions.
The NYS Senate is planning hearings on this monumental piece of legislation and we want to show up in force to demonstrate Long Island's commitment to bold climate action.
On Long Island that is February 15 at 10 a.m. — 1550 Franklin Avenue, Mineola, Long Island.
If you would like to testify at the hearings, please RSVP to
